The mitten has an orifice (1) for allowing passage of a hand of a worker manipulating pruning shears, and for allowing positioning of a wrist of the worker, where an outer surface of the mitten is formed from impermeable fabric and an inner surface of the mitten is lined with thermal insulation fabric. Another orifice (2) allows positioning of cutting elements of the pruning shears. The former orifice is provided with a reinforcing piece (3) on its periphery.
