The battery has a common magnetic circuit (201) placed in a set of battery cells (101). Each cell is arranged as a part of an electrical circuit, and includes a switching unit (102) i.e. transistor, and an electrical winding (103). The set of cells are not electrically interconnected. The electrical windings of all the cells have same number of turns. A control device (203) controls the switching unit.
