The cabinet (1) has an interface module arranged on a side face of the cabinet and non-parallel to a front face of the cabinet. The interface module carries a set of interface connectors adapted to be connected to a predetermined aircraft wiring (8). The interface module connects a back panel card to the wiring and comprises an integrated optoelectronic converter. The interface module is integrated into a mechanical structure whose parallel slides guide electronic modules (3) inserted into the structure from the front face.
