The unit (10) has a gas inlet (11) arranged upstream of a movable gas filtering device (12) along a gas flow direction. The filtering device filters gas fed via the inlet and traversing the device. A gas outlet (13) is arranged downstream of the filtering device along the gas flow direction to discharge the gas filtered by the filtering device. An electric fan (14) imposes a displacement on the gas from the inlet towards the outlet. The filtering device comprises a set of movable filtering modules (16a-16d) arranged in series and carrying out a staged filtration. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting parameters of a filtering line used for filtering impurities contained in a main gas flow.
