The present invention relates to a fuel trap (1) to simple articulation intended to be fixed on the body of a vehicle, the said flap to the fuel (1) comprising a bowl of the cover (3), a panel of the flap (9) and a hinge (13) of articulation of flap (9) on the bowl of the cover (3), characterized in that the said flap to the fuel (1) includes a striking plate (23) fastened to the bowl of the cover (3) and on which is fixed to the hinge (13), the striking plate (23) comprising means for fixing to the bowl of the cover (3), the means for fixing to the hinge (13) and of the indexing means with respect to the body of the vehicle. It is also proposed a method of mounting of a fuel trap (1) in which it uses an assembly jig indexed geometrically at the side of the body (5) for positioning the striking plate (23) on the bowl of the cover (3) before the fixing of the panel of the flap (9) on the striking plate (23).
