The machine (1) has a rotatable ink roller (2) comprising ink retaining cells, and a scraper (7) for collecting and homogenizing ink on the ink roller. A spraying device (6) sprays the ink on the ink roller that is rotated with respect to a rotation direction. The scraper is arranged downstream to the spraying device at an angle of less than 120 degree with respect to the rotation direction. A collecting tray collects the ink from the scraper by gravity. The spraying device comprises multiple tubes that are distributed according to a rotation axis of the ink roller. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing flexographic printing and photogravure printing processes.
