The control device (1) has a commutation unit (12) to commutate between a configuration in which an armature (IN) and a driver (EX) are connected in series and fed together by a power source (BA) and another configuration in which the armature and the driver are not connected in series and separately supplied by the power source. The device is connected between an electrical machine and the power source. A decisional module controls the commutation unit in the former configuration when output speed of the electrical machine remains lower than a threshold.
