The device has multiple power supplies (6-8) located on a vehicle (1) and formed for provision of electrical power to a power supply of the vehicle. A power control unit (2) controls the supply of energy from different sources of energy in response to state and/or performance characteristics of the energy sources and by a request for operation of the vehicle. Electrical power output characteristics and/or electrical power consumption characteristics are formed by the state and/or performance characteristics of the power sources made of a wear model.
