The seat has two inter-locking units arranged between a hinge mechanism (4) and a retraction mechanism (5) for securing the hinge mechanism with the retraction mechanism. The retraction mechanism guides folding-up of a backrest frame relative to a seat frame from a use position to a folded position and to disengage the retraction mechanism from the hinge mechanism so as to authorize pivoting of the backrest frame relative to the seat frame between the use position and a deployed position and to permit passage of the retraction mechanism between the use and folded positions.
