The device provides a signaling function (f1) of a communication service (S) i.e. Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) communication service, using a signaling protocol (p1), where an element from the signaling function is operable via another signaling function (f2) provided by a hybrid communication system (2). The hybrid communication system provides the IMS communication service using another signaling protocol (p2) different from the former signaling protocol by establishing a communication session.
