The filter (1) has a fluid inlet line (5) and a fluid outlet line (6) connected to a closed water circuit. An inlet valve (7), an outlet valve (8), a magnetic sludge sensor (16), and a non-magnetic sludge sensor (18) are arranged in a tank (2). A discharge conduit (9) is connected to the inlet line between the inlet valve and the tank, where the discharge conduit includes a discharge valve (10), such that magnetic and non-magnetic sludge collected in the tank are driven into the discharge conduit by the water of the closed water circuit admitted into the tank through the fluid outlet line.
