The system has gas intake and exhaust pipes emerged into a cylindrical common pipe that is in fluid communication with a combustion chamber (C) through an intake/exhaust orifice (5) in the chamber. A distribution unit (7) is placed partially at an intersection of the pipes to selectively transport intake gas from the intake pipe to the common pipe and exhaust gas from the common pipe to the exhaust pipe. An opening/closing unit (6) of the orifice is placed in downstream of the distribution unit, and includes a valve. The units are distinct from each other.
