The framework (1) has a base plate (3) carrying a set of receiving units (4) arranged to receive elements according to a predetermined space arrangement. A tank carrying frame (5) is used to support one of the elements forming a tank. The frame is mounted on the base plate through an adaptation interface (7). The interface is arranged to adapt a vertical position of the frame in assembly with respect to the base plate and the receiving unit according to a configuration in which the interface is placed. The interface includes a guide rail (20) fixed to the base plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling elements on a structure of a vehicle.
