The method involves performing compilation of an application that is to be carried out in a multiprocessor circuit, and subdividing the application into multiple tasks. The tasks are grouped in multiple groups according to available resources in a set of clusters. The groups are assigned in a static manner to respective clusters. Each group of tasks is formed such that the tasks use less resources than tasks normally available in the clusters. A failing resource is detected in the clusters and is deactivated.
