An apparatus is disclosed that turns condensate from a central heating boiler saline by adding salt, thus preventing the condensate from freezing in cold weather. The apparatus may be fitted onto a condensate drain pipe 5 of the boiler in a horizontal or vertical orientation. Preferably, the apparatus further comprises a gravity fed salt channelling dispensing chamber 3 with a lid 2, and an internal plastic grate 4 to prevent excessive salt leakage down the boilers condensate drain pipe.
