PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydration treatment apparatus setting a low-pressure placing time so as to reduce the dehydration time.SOLUTION: A dehydration treatment apparatus 1 comprises a slurry tank 10 storing slurry contained in dredge sludge, a density gage 14 detecting a density of a slurry stored in the slurry tank, a high-pressure filter press type dehydration unit 30 having an openable and closable filtration chamber and dehydrating the slurry in the filtration chamber to form a dewatering cake, a low-pressure pump 15 transferring the slurry stored in the slurry tank to the filtration chamber, a high-pressure pump 20 actuated after a lapse of a low-pressure placing time from actuation of the low-pressure pump so as to press-in the slurry stored in the slurry tank into the filtration chamber by pressing at a discharge pressure higher than that of the low-pressure pump and a control section 60 controlling the low-pressure pump 15 and the high-pressure pump 20 and determining a low-pressure placing time on the basis of results of comparison of a detected slurry density with a threshold density.
