PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture method of microalgae that enables low cost production of biomass derived from microalgae, more specifically to provide a culture method of microalgae that increases the production amount of biomass derived from the microalgae per unit area of light acceptance surface.SOLUTION: The method for culturing microalgae comprises two steps culture: in the first step, the microalgae obtained via an isolation step is cultured in a culture liquid in a first culture vessel to form a biofilm on the liquid surface; and in the second step, a part or all of the biofilm formed on the liquid surface is collected by transferring it onto a board, and using the board carrying the biofilm, further culture of the microalgae is carried out.
