PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform environmental assessment on gas emission.SOLUTION: A chimney height calculation method includes the steps of: calculating a first ground concentration of first smoke exhaust instantaneously emitted from a chimney on the basis of a simple prediction model for simulating instantaneous emission; determining a first height of the chimney so that the first ground concentration becomes an environmental regulation value or less; calculating a second ground concentration of second smoke exhaust normally emitted from the chimney having the first height on the basis of a normal emission model for simulating normal emission; and determining a second height of the chimney so that the second ground concentration becomes the environmental regulation value or less.
