PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state drive and a motherboard for mounting the same.SOLUTION: A solid-state drive of the present invention includes a circuit board having a control chip, a plurality of storage chips, a SATA connector, a temperature sensor, and a power supply circuit mounted thereon. An edge connector that can be inserted to a memory slot and a notch are provided along the base of the circuit board. The edge connector includes a plurality of power supply pins, a plurality of grounding pins, and two bus pins. The power supply circuit is connected to the control chip and the plurality of storage chips to supply voltage. The control chip is connected to the SATA connector and the plurality of storage chips to control the storage chips and store data therein on the basis of a SATA signal from the SATA connector. The present invention also provides a motherboard for mounting the solid-state drive.
