PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction behavior suppression of cobalt and a method of selectively collecting manganese for obtaining an organic phase containing manganese by solvent extraction of an aqueous solution containing manganese by using a mixed extractant containing 2-ethyl hexyl phosphonic acid and alkyl monocarboxylic acid.SOLUTION: By the invention, manganese is selectively collected from cobalt and nickel by extraction suppression effects of valuable metals in a specified pH range without any change of extraction order of manganesecobaltnickel. The invention provides a mixed extractant used for a solvent extraction method by which manganese is selectively collected in a pH range of 4 to 5.
