PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual distance calculation device configured to accurately calculate a residual distance from a moving vehicle to a predetermined position, and to provide a residual distance calculation method, and a driving support apparatus.;SOLUTION: A predetermined-time-position, which is a position of a vehicle located at a predetermined time, is acquired on the basis of GPS information. On the basis of a coordinate of a reference point stored in a storage part, a traveling direction of the vehicle at the reference point, the acquired predetermined-time-position, and a traveling direction at the predetermined-time-position, a residual distance between the reference point and the predetermined-time-position in the traveling direction of the vehicle at the predetermined-time-position is calculated. The calculated distance is subtracted from or added to a distance obtained by subtracting a vehicle traveling distance accumulated after the predetermined-time-position from the distance ranging from the reference point to a target point stored in the storage part, to calculate a distance from the vehicle to the target point.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
