PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow field observation method and a flow field observation apparatus capable of easily and accurately measuring a fluid motion in a clearance (narrow part) between a movable body and a wall surface.;SOLUTION: A flow field observation apparatus disperses tracer particles T in water inside a water tank 11, moves a movable body 12 immersed in the water inside the water tank 11 within the dispersion area of the tracer particles T, and observes water flow around the movable body 12 by measuring behaviors of the tracer particles T. The flow field observation apparatus includes: a transparent wall surface body 2 disposed in the water tank 11 along a movement direction of the movable body 12; a traveling carriage 3 arranged above the water tank 11 and supporting the movable body 12 such that the movable body 12 is movable along the wall surface body 2 in a state that the movable body 12 is close to the surface of the wall surface body 2; and measuring means 4 disposed behind the wall surface body 2 and measuring the behaviors of the tracer particles T.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
