PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an F-T synthesizing catalyst which exhibits a high activity, a long service life and a high water resistance without impairing the strength and wear resistance of the catalyst, and to provide a method for manufacturing the catalyst, a method for regenerating the catalyst and a method for producing a hydrocarbon using the catalyst .SOLUTION: There are provided a catalyst for producing a hydrocarbon from a synthesis gas which is obtained by carrying a cobalt metal or a cobalt metal and cobalt oxide, zirconium oxide and a noble metal on a catalyst carrier mainly composed of silica and has an impurity content of 0.15 mass% or less, a method for manufacturing the catalyst, a method for regenerating the catalyst, and a method for producing a hydrocarbon using the catalyst.
