PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demagnetization method of a neodymium magnet, a rotary drum device for neodymium magnet segregation and a neodymium magnet recovery device, in which the neodymium magnet is easily demagnetized and crushed together with an apparatus incorporating the neodymium magnet to segregate between the neodymium magnet and other product components.;SOLUTION: According to a demagnetization method of a neodymium magnet, a temperature of an apparatus (hard disk drive 1) incorporating the neodymium magnet is raised to 150 to 200°C, thereby a magnetic flux density of the neodymium magnet is made into 0.6 to 1.2 T (Tesla). A rotary drum device for attracting neodymium magnet crushed pieces 15 in a crushed object 11 obtained by crushing the apparatus incorporating the neodymium magnet demagnetized in accordance with the demagnetization method comprises: a rotary drum 13 for neodymium magnet segregation including a demagnetizing coil for demagnetizing the rotary drum; a demagnetizer 2 for demagnetizing the rotary drum 13 for neodymium magnet segregation and the neodymium magnet in the apparatus; and a crusher 3 for crushing the apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
