PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent S/C and S/N improvement that may occur during Doppler processing on account of unequal intervals of transmission and reception of pulse signals between sweeps.SOLUTION: A radar apparatus 10, using a staggered trigger system, receives with a radar antenna 20 pulse signals transmitted repeatedly at unequal intervals. A phase calculator 43 calculates phase variations occurring in complex received signals I and Q obtained by the reception of the pulse signals by the radar antenna 20, attributable to the shifting speed of the radar antenna 20. A subject ship's speed corrector 44 corrects the complex received signals I and Q on the basis of the phase variations calculated by the phase calculator 43, and outputs corrected complex received signals I' and Q'. A Doppler processor 45, using the corrected complex received signals I' and Q', performs Doppler processing.
