STRUCTURE OF FILE READABLE IN COMPUTER, FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BY USING FILE AND FILE RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow both a latest attribute of a file and the history of the attribute to be recognized.SOLUTION: A file (1) is constructed of a user data area (2) storing user data (5) prepared by a user, an attribute data area (3) storing attribute data (6) showing a latest attribute of the file (1) and a history data area (4) storing history data (7) showing an attribute history of the file (1). When the attribute data (6) is changed, the attribute data (6) before the change is stored in the history data area (4) and the attribute data (6) after the change is stored in the attribute data area (3). A file (1) matching prescribed criteria is retrieved from files (1) stored in a recording medium (9) and an attribute history of the file (1) stored in the history data area (4) of the retrieved file (1) is displayed.
