PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for developing medicaments such as vaccines for group B streptococcus (GBS) infection, which is a primary cause portion of neonatal death rate, specifically to provide a novel adhesion factor of the GBS usable for producing the medicaments.SOLUTION: A nucleic acid encoding an adhesion factor of a group B streptococcus, and the adhesion factor of the group B streptococcus, are provided. Specifically, a polypeptide being such the adhesion factor, and a polypeptide comprising a specific amino acid sequence, are provided, and such the polypeptides are used in a production of vaccines.
