PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate electronic program table information produced by collecting programs handling information on a familiar area attracting strong interests for a viewer, of a number of broadcast program without requiring any specific time or effort on the part of the viewer.;SOLUTION: An electronic program table information generation system includes: a broadcast program information database 1 storing, a geographical name and a broadcast program that includes a geographical name and is correlated with the geographical name in program information; a geographical name database 2 storing information of a geographical position of the geographical name; a positional information obtainment part 3 for obtaining positional information as an origin; and an electronic program table information generation part 4 for searching the positional information, as the origin, for a geographical name existing within a given range, searching the broadcast program information database 1 for a broadcast program including the retrieved geographical name in program information, and generating electronic program table information for displaying information of the retrieved broadcast program and a geographical name corresponding to the retrieved broadcast program, selecting a broadcast station of the retrieved broadcast program, or reserving for recording of the program.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
