PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a smart meter enabling achievement of a power system for controlling customer premises equipment from equipment in a remote location, such as a management server.;SOLUTION: When power use equipment in a customer communicates with the management server, the smart meter manages a global IP address for use in a global network, in a manner to associate with a local IP address allocated to the power use equipment, and manages a local IP address for use in a local network when the management server communicates with the power use equipment, in a manner to associate with a global IP address allocated to the management server. Upon receiving, from the global network, a packet from the management server as a transmission source, the smart meter converts a global IP address set in the destination and the transmission source into a local IP address. Also, upon receiving, from the local network, a packet from the power use equipment as a transmission source, the smart meter converts a local IP address set in the destination and the transmission source into a global IP address.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
