PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a congestion state of a train scheduled to arrive.;SOLUTION: A monitoring system 10 includes: a plurality of imaging devices 100 for imaging a door peripheral image at a door position of a train stopping at a station; and a data managing device 200 for transmitting/receiving data to/from the plurality of imaging devices 100. The monitoring system 10 has an inter-station receiving portion 210 for receiving the number of passengers getting on near the door position of a train arriving at the station from the monitoring system 10 of the previous stop station; an output portion 140 for outputting congestion information generated on the basis of the number of the passengers received from the monitoring system 10 of the previous stop station; a getting on/off passenger number calculating portion 120 for calculating the number of getting on/off passengers at the door position on the basis of the door peripheral image; a totalization portion 230 for calculating the number of passengers getting on near the door position of the train departing the station by totalizing the number of the passengers received by the inter-station receiving portion 210 and the number of getting on/off passengers calculated by the getting on/off passenger number calculating portion 120 on the basis of the door peripheral image; and an inter-station transmitting portion 240 for transmitting the number of the passengers getting on the departing train to a monitoring system of the next stop station.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
