PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an approximation model generation apparatus, an approximation model generation method, and a program, which are capable of generating an approximation model with pre-specified approximation accuracy in shorter time than with a conventional technique.;SOLUTION: An approximation model generation apparatus, for use in generating an approximation model taking functional performance based on a form of a structural model as a dependent variable and taking a feature amount indicating the form as a main variable, includes: a first feature amount extraction unit for generating a first feature amount table indicating a first feature amount of each of plural structural models, the first feature amount extracted from forms of the plural structural models; a second feature amount extraction unit for extracting a second feature amount that is a feature amount contributing to estimation of the functional performance from the first feature amount included in the first feature amount table and generating a second feature amount table; and an approximation model generation unit for generating an approximation model that is an approximation expression for estimating the functional performance by using a second feature amount included in the second feature amount table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
