PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control panel provided on an apparatus for controlling the apparatus, a method for controlling the control panel and an apparatus for treating a cloth equipped with the control panel.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a control panel of an apparatus for treating a cloth is arranged in that the control panel comprises a panel body forming its appearance, a plurality of light emitting units provided on the panel body, and a light generating unit positioned under the light emitting unit and emitting the light toward the light emitting unit. The method comprises the steps of: inputting a power supplying order to the apparatus for treating the cloth through a power inputting unit; and controlling a duty cycle of current supplied into each of the plurality of the light generating units such that the light generating unit to be targeted is emitted to be lighter than the light generating unit at the background level by controlling a duty cycle of the light generating unit to be targeted and a duty cycle of the light generating unit at the background level.
