PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member holding device for cutting demolition and a method of demolishing a building using the same that can securely hold members such as column members and beam members of an RC structure and/or an SRC structure when the members are cut and demolished, and can efficiently demolish an RC-structured and/or SRC-structured building while suppressing generation of noise and vibration and scattering of dust.;SOLUTION: A member holding device 30 for cutting demolition comprises: a holding beam part 31 extending in a horizontal direction T1; two engagement holding parts 32 which are provided to be connected to the holding beam part 31, and engaged with a building constitution member 6 to hold the holding beam part 31 such that the holding beam part 31 is arranged above a building constitution member 4 to be cut and also extending in the horizontal direction T1; a wound holding member 33 which is provided to be connected detachably to the holding beam part 31, and wound around the building constitution member 4 to be cut so as to hold the building constitution member 4 to be cut; and a suspension part which is provided to be connected to the holding beam part 31 and to which a rope body 22 is connected to be suspended.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
