PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of attenuating a radiation dose from soil, a radiation-attenuating material, and a method of manufacturing the radiation-attenuating material.;SOLUTION: A method of attenuating a radiation dose from soil is characterized by spraying, to soil 1 contaminated with radioactive materials, a particulate radiation-attenuating member 50a in which 10 parts by mass or more and 120 parts by mass or less of a carbon material comprising at least one of graphene and carbon nanotubes are mixed in 100 parts by mass of an elastomer. Since the carbon material comprising at least one of graphene and carbon nanotubes has effect to shield radiation R, the radiation dose from the soil 1 can be attenuated by spraying the particulate radiation-attenuating member 50a to the soil 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
