PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the detection method and detection kit of the aggravation index of a COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) patient.SOLUTION: The detection method of the aggravation index of a COPD patient includes: measuring the development amounts of IL-27 protein in a biological sample derived from a COPD patient or a gene to code this; and detecting the increase of the development amounts as a result of the comparison of the development amounts with the development amounts in the non-aggravation time of the patient. The detection kit of a COPD aggravation index includes an antibody peculiarly connected to the IL-27 protein.
