PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition for reducing glucose excursion in a normal subject or in a subject having an insulin-related disorder or a blood glucose metabolic disorder.SOLUTION: A release-regulating pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an insulin resistance-improving oral blood glucose-lowering agent in order to sensitize pre-eating (basic) insulin level in a normal patient or a patient having an insulin-related disorder and/or reduce post-eating glucose excursion contains a therapeutically effective amount of a polar ionic insulin resistance-improving oral blood glucose-lowering agent or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a dry blend mixture comprising an amphiphatic compound in a monomer form consisting of an amphiphatic ionic compound in a monomer form, respectively, and contains one or two or more of active agent-containing layers.
