PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing method in a database.SOLUTION: A query request includes information indicating a source IP address and a destination IP address. The source IP address includes N sections, the destination IP address includes M sections. A data processing method includes a step of determining an index encoding manner for the database. In the step, the index is a one-dimensional index including N+M sections, the encoding manner specifies a variation sequence of various sections for the index, at least one of the source IP address and the destination IP address indicated by the information contained in the possible query request includes at least one section having a wildcard character. According to the index, for any possible query requests, successive data records can be obtained as a query result. According to the encoding manner, the index for the data records is set.
