PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscosity-reducing agent with which an exhaust emission control catalyst can be prepared by applying the viscosity-reducing agent onto a base material for the catalyst with a small number of times and uniformly and involving little clog, and to provide a slurry for the exhaust emission control and a method of producing the same.;SOLUTION: There is provided the viscosity-reducing agent for reducing viscosity of a slurry for an exhaust emission control catalyst including heat resistant inorganic oxide carrying noble metals, a water soluble metal compound and a dispersant. The viscosity-reducing agent contains a copolymer (X) composed of a (meth)acrylic acid (A) unit and a (meth)acrylic acid alkoxy polyoxyalkylene (B) unit, and has the content of the (meth)acrylic acid (A) unit of 50 to 70 mol% and the content of the (meth)acrylic acid alkoxy polyoxyalkylene (B) unit of 50 to 30 mol% based on the molar numbers of the (meth)acrylic acid (A) unit and the (meth)acrylic acid alkoxy polyoxyalkylene (B) unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
