PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery apparatus for the biomass liquefied material that inhibits polymerization of water-soluble tar by aging and recovers the water-soluble tar and water-insoluble tar with both qualities as fuel being intact, and a method for recovery.;SOLUTION: The recovery apparatus for the biomass liquefied material that recovers a liquefied material contained in a thermal decomposition product obtained by rapid pyrolysis of the biomass includes: a specific gravity-separation part 42 separating the liquefied material into the water-soluble tar from the water-insoluble tar with specific gravity greater than that of the water-soluble tar, based on the specific gravity; a polymerization inhibitor-addition part 43 adding a polymerization inhibitor to the water-soluble tar separated from the water-insoluble tar based on the specific gravity; and a recovery part 45 separately recovering the water-soluble tar added with the polymerization inhibitor from the water-insoluble tar.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
