PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that is simple in construction and efficiently recovers a molasses that is remaining in the solid residue.SOLUTION: A molasses production apparatus for producing molasses by hydrolyzing a polysaccharide derived from a lignocellulosic biomass, using a catalyst includes: a first solid-liquid separation section(solid-liquid separation section 310) that separates the solid-liquid mixture M1 obtained by reacting a polysaccharide derived from a lignocellulosic biomass with a catalyst, into a molasses(first polysaccharide solution L1) and a molasses-containing residue S2; an extraction section 320 that produces a solid-liquid mixture SL2 comprising a molasses-containing liquefied liquid LA and a solid residue S3 by contacting a liquefied liquid EL of an organic solvent which has a boiling point less than 100°C under the normal temperature and pressure condition, with the separated molasses-containing residue S2 to extract the molasses (the first polysaccharide solution L1) that is contained in the molasses-containing residue S2, with the liquefied liquid EL; and a second solid-liquid separation section (solid-liquid separation section 322) that separates the solid-liquid mixture SL2 into a molasses-containing liquefied liquid LA and a solid residue S3.
