PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in calculating the number of vehicles by also considering the number of vehicles incorporating no on-vehicle machine.SOLUTION: A traffic information processing system includes: an on-vehicle machine incorporated in a vehicle; an on-vehicle machine incorporating vehicle count detection part for detecting, on the basis of information received from the on-vehicle machine, the number of vehicle incorporating an on-vehicle machine, the vehicle entering a sample area that is a part of plural sections, from among the vehicle incorporating the on-vehicle machine and a vehicle incorporating no on-vehicle machine, the vehicles traveling a place divided into the plural sections; a vehicle total count detection part for detecting the total number of vehicles entering the sample area; a vehicle ratio computation part for computing a value related to a ratio of the number of vehicles incorporating the on-vehicle machine detected by the on-vehicle machine incorporating vehicle count detection part to the total number of vehicles detected by the vehicle total count detection part; and a vehicle total count estimation computation part for computing the total number of vehicles in the section on the basis of the number of vehicles incorporating the on-vehicle machine entering the section and the value related to the ratio calculated by the vehicle ratio computation part.
