PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism inactivation device for ballast water satisfying the conditions of the internal pressure proof stress and heat resistant temperature of a water passage tube made of a fluororesin using a medium pressure mercury lamp.;SOLUTION: The internal pressure outer irradiation type ultraviolet lamp comprises: a cylindrical barrel part 2; a pair of cylindrical header parts 3, 4 provided at both the edges of the barrel part; a lamp protective sleeve 16 arranged at the cylindrical shaft in the barrel part and provided projectingly to the outside from the respective header parts 3, 4; an intermediate pressure mercury lamp 15 stored in the lamp protective sleeve 16; a plurality of water passing tubes 18 made of fluororesin arranged around the shaft of the lamp protective sleeve 16, opened, respectively, to the respective header parts, and through which ballast water is circulated; and a cooling liquid circulation apparatus 30 in which ballast water is made to flow from either header part, the ballast water is exhausted from the other header part, and pure water is circulated from a pure water inlet nozzle 22 at one end side of the barrel part 2 toward a pure water outlet nozzle 22 at the other end side, and the pressure of the pure water is controlled so as to be set lower than the pressure of the ballast water to satisfy the conditions of the internal pressure proof stress and heat resistant temperature of the water passing tube.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
