PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which decreases hemoglobin A1c and/or blood glucose level and which is useful in treatment of diabetes.;SOLUTION: A composition contains water or ethanol extract of black soybeans, and black soybean peel, and a mass ratio of polyphenol and proteins (polyphenol/proteins) contained in the composition is 3-10. The composition contains powder obtained by extracting black soybeans with water or ethanol at 80-150°C and drying the extract, and powder obtained by extracting black soybean peel with water or ethanol and drying the extract, and the amount of polyphenol contained in 1 g of the composition is 140 mg or more.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
