PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in newly providing or maintaining a tension insulator that is an insulator string, by preventing a length dimension of the tension insulator from being reduced even in the case where tension applied to both ends of the tension insulator is removed.;SOLUTION: An insulator string shape holder is prepared which comprises a shape holding part for holding a shape in the case where a tension insulator 11 (insulator string) formed by connecting a plurality of solid earthenware rods 11a, is fitted to a housing 101 accommodating the tension insulator 11 and tension is applied to both ends of the tension insulator. The shape is held by fitting the tension insulator 11 to the shape holding part (shape holding step), a power transmission line 3 which is supported by a steel tower via the tension insulator 11 is tensed by a wire rope 202 and made closer to the steel tower (attraction step), the steel tower and the power transmission line 3 are connected by the shape-held tension insulator 11 (connection step), the insulator string shape holder is removed from the tension insulator 11 (shape hold cancellation step), and a device tensing the power transmission line 3 with the wire rope 202 is removed (restitution step).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
