PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model calculation unit which calculates a function model based on data, and a control device.SOLUTION: A model calculation unit calculates a function model based on data in a control device equipped with an arithmetic core 31. The arithmetic core 31 includes: a multiplication unit 43 which executes multiplication on hardware; an addition unit 42 which performs addition on hardware; an exponential function unit 41 which calculates an exponential function on hardware; a memory which stores a hyper parameter and sample point data of a function model based on data to be calculated which is particularly a setting register 45; and a logic circuit 46 which controls a calculation process in the multiplication unit, the addition unit, the exponential function unit, and the memory which is particularly the setting register on hardware in order to determine the function model based on data.
