METHOD OF SCREENING ANTICANCER DRUG AND METHOD OF SELECTING ANTICANCER DRUG SUITED TO CANCER PATIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of screening an anticancer drug targeting GLUT in cancer cells and an effective method of selecting an anticancer drug with few side effects that is suited to a cancer patient who has cancer cells that express GLUT.SOLUTION: A method of screening an anticancer drug is performed based on the determination that it is useful as an anticancer drug to cancer cells that express GLUT3 about a substance that acts to inhibit GSK3 by checking the GSK3 inhibiting action of a test substance. Moreover, a method of selecting an anticancer drug suited to a cancer patient is a method of selecting, as an anticancer drug suited to this patient, a substance that acts to inhibit GSK3 in a case where it expresses GLUT3, by checking whether cancer cells, taken out of a cancer patient, express GLUT3 or not. It contributes to a selective practice of chemotherapy targeting cancer molecules to cancer patients and enables medical treatment suited to individual cancer patients by using it together with PET diagnosis.
