PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the life of an optical disk with high accuracy in an optical disk library system that writes and reads data in/from an optical disk selected from a plurality of optical disks stored in an optical disk cartridge.;SOLUTION: An optical disk library system calculates, after data is written in an optical disk, the life related to reproduction compatibility in a plurality of optical disk drives from reproduction quality including an error rate and jitter measured with respect to data read out from the optical disk, and reports a storage management server of the calculated life together with environmental information related to the storage environment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
