PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterile barrier for a thermal treatment system that typically employs a removable basin to activate a heater of a thermal treatment system, where the sterile barrier is easy to install and use with the thermal treatment system.;SOLUTION: A drape device is provided for use with a thermal treatment system 100, where the thermal treatment system includes a receptacle 3 dimensioned to receive a basin 4, a heater 12 to heat items placed within the receptacle 3 and limit switches 6, 7 that are operable to identify when the basin 4 or another item is placed within the receptacle and to further activate the heater 12 upon identification by the limit switches 6, 7 of the basin 4 or the another item being placed within the receptacle. The drape device includes a drape that can be placed within the receptacle to provide a barrier between the item placed on the drape and the receptacle 3.
