PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator delta guard collision preventing device which can reliably prevent a passenger from colliding with a delta guard provided at a delta portion of an escalator.;SOLUTION: A collision preventing device 5 which prevents a passenger from colliding with a delta guard 4 provided at a delta portion formed between an upper floor 1 of a building and a moving handrail 2 includes: a detecting device 51 which detects that the passenger leans over from the moving handrail 2 to the lateral outside of the moving handrail 2; and an avoiding device 52 which presses the passenger who leans over from the moving handrail 2 to the lateral outside of the moving handrail 2 toward the lateral inside of the moving handrail 2 when the detecting device 51 detects that the passenger leans over from the moving handrail 2 to the lateral outside of the moving handrail 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
