PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deriving an operational condition in which a large thickness distribution of piling layers for charging materials in a blast furnace is made to close to a target suitable layer thickness distribution so as to be stable to the blast furnace operational condition; and an apparatus for deriving the operational condition using this method.;SOLUTION: The method has the peculiarity, with which a standard operational condition containing a parameter related to the charging position for charging materials, is set and the plurality of the operational conditions for calculation, are made by changing a parameter from this standard operational condition, and an item corresponding to a requirement for connecting with the increase in the operational variation in the condition related to the charging position in the plurality of the operational conditions for calculation, is removed; and in the case of changing to the respective operational conditions for calculation remained as non-removal from the standard operational condition in the operation of the blast furnace 100, the layer thickness distributions developed in the blast furnace 100 are respectively predicted as a predictive layer thickness distribution, and then, the predictive layer thickness distribution being similar to the targeted layer thickness distribution, is selected among these predicted layer thickness distribution, and thus, the operational condition for calculation used when this is predicted, is made to be the selective operational condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
